There are several different kinds of hive tools on the market. We prefer a tool 

with a hook on the end, it is easier

to separate the frames.

Lots to pick from when choosing protective clothing. We like the ventilated suits

and jackets.

It is best to get actual beekeeping gloves.

Don't improvise, these special gloves 

are made for a reason.

 Used in beekeeping to calm honey bees. 

What you will need for 1 hive:

3 - Deep Supers with frame and foundation.

 (eg: 10 frame boxes you will need 

30 frames with foundation)

1 - Bottom Board

1 - Inner Cover

1 - Lid

You will also need to feed your bees a pollen substitute and syrup until you add the third box. Due to northern short season feeding is required for survival, sometimes there isn't enough food naturally.
